Kosta Segounis has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry most notably in the areas of compliance and risk management. Prior to joining Athos, Kosta was an integral part of Phocion Investment Services, he also held the position of Senior Advisor at National Bank of Canada where he was responsible for performing reviews of different lines of businesses of financial markets and wealth management. He also implemented a due diligence process for reviewing external managers - both traditional and alternative.

In addition, Kosta held a senior management position in a consulting firm, where he performed due diligence on a variety of alternative managers, from emerging managers to large and sophisticated hedge funds following complex strategies. Further he was also an integral part of building the compliance department at The Public Sector Pension Investments Board (PSP Investments), one of Canada's largest pension investments managers.

Kosta has earned the CFA® and CIPM® from the CFA Institute. In addition, he has earned the CPA, CA designation.
