Ioannis’ knowledge and experience spans the whole spectrum of the investment performance discipline. His dedication to bringing the best of this evolving field to the investment industry led him founding Athos Investment Services to continue the work he started with Phocion Investments. He is an advocate of the field of investment performance and continuously works to promote the field and raise it to the level it deserves in the industry.
He has over 20 years of experience and has been assisting firms, large and small, with their performance needs for the past 10 years by helping them overcome their issues and continue to grow. He previously held the position of Manager – Performance Measurement and Attribution at Intact Investment Management where he was responsible for building and growing the performance functions of the firm. He was also an integral part of structuring the performance operations at CN Investment Division. Ioannis also teaches an Introduction to Performance seminar at the John Molson School of business for the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program.
He was also an active participant in NYSSA’s Performance & Risk Analytics Group Committee and a member of the CFA Institute’s Certificate in Performance Management Measurement (CIPM®) Advisory Committee. His work has been published in The Journal of Performance Measurement and The Finance Professionals’ Post.
Ioannis has earned the CFA® and CIPM® from the CFA Institute. In addition, he has earned an MBA degree with a specialization in Investment and Portfolio Management from HEC Montreal, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Concordia University.
